Challenge

Making expert advice accessible to all expectant parents

The Danish Health Authorities wanted to ensure that all expectant parents could access the same professionally validated, easy-to-understand pregnancy information.

Until now, much of this guidance was scattered across websites, leaflets, and in-person consultations. The challenge was to digitize this information into a single, accessible platform while maintaining the high trust and credibility essential in healthcare.

Solution

Your preferred app during pregnancy

We designed and developed Min Graviditet, a simple, user-friendly app filled with relevant features and evidence-based content:

  • Week-by-week updates tailored to the pregnancy stage
  • Appointment tracking with doctors, birth centers, and health visitors
  • A library of 400+ articles and videos covering pregnancy, childbirth, and newborn care
  • Custom checklists for practical needs like packing a hospital bag
  • Clear, inclusive design ensuring accessibility for all

The app serves as a first step towards digitizing the entire pregnancy journey, with version 2.0 already planned to integrate directly with the national pregnancy journal.

Our Process

From research to a ready-to-scale digital service

We worked closely with healthcare experts, technical teams, and the client to make sure the app was both medically accurate and delightfully usable:

  1. Planning & research – Defined scope, target audiences, and constraints through workshops and stakeholder alignment.
  2. Design & prototyping – Created wireframes, mockups, and a concept prototype to validate flows and features with real users.
  3. Development & testing – Brought developers in early, ensuring close collaboration, rapid iteration, and seamless bug fixes.
  4. Scaling for the future – Designed the architecture and UX to support upcoming integrations with the national digital pregnancy journal.
“It will make pregnancy easier – and it’s also the first step towards replacing the paper-based pregnancy journal with a more modern solution.”
