Too many check-ups, not enough insight
In diabetes care, one-size-fits-all scheduling means many patients come in for routine check-ups even when they’re perfectly stable. This eats up clinical time, frustrates patients, and wastes healthcare resources.
Solution
Real-time data, smarter diabetes care
Together with Steno Diabetes Center Aarhus, we designed and built Indblik, a platform that:
- Connects to wearables, sensors, and data
- Gives clinicians a live overview of each patient’s health
- Flags when intervention is needed – so stable patients don’t have unnecessary visits
- Fits seamlessly into existing clinical workflows
With Indblik, diabetes care shifts from scheduled check-ups to responsive, needs-based care. Patients get attention when they need it, and clinics free up resources for those who require more support.
Our Process
Process
From insight to implementation
To make sure Indblik worked in the real world – not just on paper – we involved both patients and healthcare professionals from day one. Our process moved quickly from understanding the problem to delivering a working pilot in under a year:
- Design sprint & vision – We co-created the product vision and roadmap with clinicians, patients, and key stakeholders.
- User research – We identified the biggest pain points in existing diabetes care routines.
- Agile design & development – We built and tested prototypes in short sprints, refining them based on direct user feedback.
- Integration into workflows – We ensured the platform aligned with how clinics already operated, avoiding disruption.
By combining real-world insights with an iterative, user-driven design process, we ensured that Indblik not only delivered measurable benefits but also felt natural to use for clinicians.
